I (Andrei) am originally from Moldova but now I am a proud British Citizen. I have moved to the UK in 2001 and have been through the British education system. I have an honours degree in Computer Science from Bournemouth University. Currently I am working as a Software Engineer. In my spare time I enjoy helping the Street Level charity with their community projects. Things like feeding the homeless and praying for people. I enjoy sports like Freestyle Wrestling, Football and Formula 1. I also like interpreting dreams according to old Hebraic methods.
I (Natasha) am originally from Ukraine. I have married my husband Andrei in 2013 and joined him in the UK shortly after. I have a Master’s degree in German and Ukrainian languages from the Kharkiv Pedagogical University. In Ukraine I have been working as a freelance German teacher. In my spare time I love reading, cooking, learning new things, helping people and going for walks. I also devote many hours to the Inductive Mode of studying the Bible according to the Precept Ministries literature.
We met on the internet, and after a few meetings we decided to get married. Then we started the process of obtaining a UK Spouse Visa for Natasha. The process was not as long and painful as we thought or as other people led as to believe. We did not use a solicitor but instead did all ourselves.
The aim of this Blog is to walk you through the steps that we have been through (paperwork, visa application, first steps of life in the UK, etc) in the hope that it may help other people. We hope that you will enjoy the read.
